Primrose Hill Baptist Church is located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire ENGLAND (see map for details). Situated within a small community in the suburbs of Huddersfield called Primrose Hill, the church building is a prominent landmark for the area as it overlooks the whole of the town centre. We now have an illuminated cross erected on the rear of the building visible across Huddersfield Town Centre, in the hope that it will be seen by the drinkers and clubbers in the pubs and clubs, and possibly question the meaning of The Cross.
The church consists of approximately 15 members, and our average attendance to Sunday services can be up to 40 people, a figure which we are aiming to increase through an evangelism program co-ordinated by Norman Smith to bring people from the surrounding area of the church.
Our Pastor: John Bryce was called to ministry at Primrose Hill Baptist Church back in September 1996 where he was inducted by the late Rev. Ian Collins (Superintendent of the Yorkshire Baptist Association)
"As a company of men and women who have individually accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we here and now dedicate ourselves to Him, as children of God. We declare ourselves to be a Church of Jesus Christ , founded upon the Holy Bible, the inspired Word of God, the only rule of faith. Indwelt by the Holy Spirit , we are united in our desire to walk worthy of our calling in the proclamation of the Gospel , the observance of the ordinances; and in performance of such other good works as promote the salvation of men and women, and the well being of the world, as God, by His grace, enables us."
We consider our primary 'Mission Field' as the immediate area surrounding the church in Primrose Hill, and actively encourage the neighbourhood to come to our services and various events. So if you want to know more, why not come and join us this Sunday?
